DS Architecture seeks the right individual for the position of Project Manager for our Healthcare Studio where we design for care and healing.
Our design for healthcare environments seeks to nurture the connection between patients and care. Research and evidence based design data supports the premise that the experience of spaces, when designed for optimal care, can positively impact patient satisfaction and health outcomes. We engage in this process by incorporating patient and family needs, staff process and workflow, and healthcare performance in the design of the built environment. We balance the needs of patients, families, and staff.
Candidates should desire to be a part of and leading a project team and have a strong understanding of projects from the conceptual design phase through the construction documents phase. Our design culture encourages collaboration, commitment and excitement – leveraging each person’s unique skills to create successful projects. A paramount attribute of any staff member is the ability to work in partnership successfully with the entire team, and to have fun.
• Professional Architectural or Interior Design degree from an accredited university
• Minimum architectural firm experience – 5 years beyond graduation
• Proficient in AutoCad and REVIT
• Google Sketch Up knowledge
• Adobe Creative Cloud competency
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (NOT MANDATORY)
• NCARB certificate holder
• LEED Accredited Professional
• Architectural License
• Experience as a project manager in all aspects of project design including:
o feasibility analysis, program development, cost evaluations, site planning, schematic design, design development, interior design, construction documents, bidding or negotiations, and construction administration
• Knowledgeable in methods and materials of construction technology and methodology
• Experience in client coordination and presentations
• Experience in consultant coordination and management of a consultant team
• Leadership skills to develop and implement a “team approach” as well as a cooperative attitude

Sommers in 1983 and joined by Jeffrey Meyers to form a partnership in 2010, the firm of DS Architecture has grown into a dynamic team of professionals committed to architectural design excellence. In 2017, Richard Fleischman and DS Architecture partnered to collaborate for the continued success of Richard Fleischman’s remarkable career and contributions to the field of architecture, the City of Cleveland, Northeast Ohio, the United States and the world.
