  • ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

     

    Position Description

    DS Architecture is currently in the process of accepting resumes for the position of Architectural Designer. Candidates should be capable of being part of a project team and have a strong understanding of projects from the conceptual design phase through the construction documents phase.

     

    Basic Qualifications:

     

    •   Professional Architectural degree from an accredited university
    •   Proficient in REVIT
    •   Proficient in AutoCad

     

    Additional Qualifications (not mandatory)

     

    •  NCARB certificate holder
    •  LEED Accredited Professional

     

    Experience Requirements

     

    • Candidate must have the ability to show strong competence in understanding of methods and materials of construction technology and methodology
    • Candidate should have three to five years of experience working in a professional architectural firm completing Schematic Design drawings, Design Development drawings and Construction Document drawings
    • Willingness to be part of a “team approach” and have a cooperative attitude
    • Candidate should have a strong desire to improve his/her knowledge of the architectural design process as well as a goal of personal growth within both the technical and design aspects of this process
  • ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Position Description

    DSA is currently in the process of accepting resumes for the position of Administrative Assistant.

    Candidates should be capable of being part of a project team and have experience in architectural/engineering office and/or the ability to show the desire and ability to learn the process of an architectural firm. This individual will perform administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills.

    DS Architecture is a medium sized architectural firm located in downtown Kent, Ohio. We have experience in the design of a wide variety of facilities. We have 4 focus area design studios: Animal Facilities, Restaurant /Retail, Adaptive Re-use and Police/Fire/Administration Projects. DS

    Architecture’s atmosphere is rooted in good service to our clients. Our environment encourages team collaboration, team excitement, and team personality to create successful projects. A paramount attribute of any staff member is the ability to work in partnership successfully with the entire team and when appropriate to have fun.

     

    Job Duties

    • Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying information.
    • Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating requirements; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items; delivering
    • supplies to work stations.
    • Development of AIA and other related architectural, engineering and construction contracts.
    • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance; troubleshooting failures; calling for repairs; monitoring equipment operation.
    • Maintains office schedule by picking-up and delivering items using automobile.
    • Serves customers by answering phones, answering questions; and forwarding messages.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
    • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
    • Office Experience - General, Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Typing, Documentation Skills, Meeting Planning, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Dependability,
    • Attention to Detail, Administrative Writing Skills. Additional Qualifications (not mandatory)
    • Proficiency in Adobe Muse, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator desired.

  • MARKETING INTERN

    Position Description

    • DS Architecture is currently in the process of accepting resumes for the position of Marketing Intern. Duties will include:
    • Writing for press releases, website information, professional qualifications statements and other marketing materials
    • Assisting the preparation of responses to requests for qualifications and project interviews
    • Assisting the coordination of various marketing methods including, website,
    • networking, internet, social media
    • Assisting the collection of marketing data
    • Perform analysis of marketing data
